Max is a 5 year old child, who was adopted  by an American family at 4 weeks old. He is currently being forced to live in Mexico, separated from his father, sister and the only life he has ever known.  Meanwhile, a misguided and broken immigration system and poor leadership at the US Consulate in Ciudad Juarez, Mexico drag their feet and refuse to help this American family get Max a visa so he can go home.
